Our Story
Kraken Digital started out of frustration. Too many agencies sell vanity metrics, bloated retainers and recycled templates, then hide the people doing the work behind layers of account management. We built the opposite: a model where you pay for execution, see exactly what was done, and can leave whenever it stops working for you.
Kraken Digital and Good Company Disability Services, an NDIS provider working across Victoria and Western Australia, share an owner. We planned, built and optimised Good Company’s website ourselves, and it is now the first organic result on Google for “NDIS mentor”. That is where our depth in NDIS web design and SEO comes from. Who We Are
Kraken Digital is owner-operated by Joshua Bartlett in Melbourne. The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it, optimises it and answers your emails. Nothing is handed off to juniors, and nobody sits between you and the work.

Meet Joshua Bartlett
Owner-operator, Kraken Digital · Mount Martha, VIC
Josh builds websites and runs SEO from Mount Martha, on the Mornington Peninsula. He started Kraken Digital so small businesses could deal with the person actually doing the work. No account managers and no handing jobs to juniors.
His background covers two worlds: care services, and digital and technology. Alongside Kraken, he and his wife Wanda run Good Company Disability Services, an NDIS provider working across Victoria and Western Australia. Josh built Good Company's website, which is the top organic Google result for "NDIS mentor" (checked October 2026), and he now runs its SEO himself. He's also founded businesses outside the care sector, including Chuffed, an online pet store, and Lindy Capital.
Running his own businesses shapes how Kraken works. Prices are fixed and published, reports are in plain English, and every recommendation is one he'd make if it were his own money. He knows what it's like to pay an agency and wonder what you got for it, so every month Kraken clients get a log of what was done and why.
